In the first game Heaven came from behind to defeat Alameda. It came down to sudden death overtime and with great use of an overlap created by a strong forward push, the ball was passed through the hands with Twinkie scoring in the corner.

The second game was another win for the Seven’s in Heaven squad where they played San Luis Obispo. Despite several semi-pro football players twice the size of the ladies accompanying the SLO team, the Heaven’s experience and athleticism outweighed the brute force of the home team.

The championship match was between Alameda and Seven’s in Heaven. Despite a strong showing the first time around, Heaven failed to compete with a deep Alameda team. Alameda’s whoring eight-man eagle dominated the play and the Barbara team had a difficult time slowing the attack. Though they put up a good fight, Heaven lost to the not-as-fashionably-stylish Alameda ladies.

Some of the Heaven’s teammates stayed in SLO to win the party for the team. Adorned with turquoise terry-cloth tube dresses and pub cups in hand, they certainly made an unforgettable pub-crawl for all those lucky enough to attend.

Thanks to all for the support and sportsmanship shown throughout the entire seven’s season. It’s been a blast.
